RECOGNITION

Since 1999, the sustained commitment and support from numerous organisations have assisted ODT Dance to grow from strength to strength. Many of our sponsors and supporters have been recognised by the Singapore Government receiving the Patron of the Arts award, given by the former Ministry of Communication, Information and the Arts.

As an independent dance company, ODT Dance continues to receive patronage from government, embassies, local and international corporate entities and many others for commissioning works to be produced for festivals, local main house seasons, community platforms and international tours.

In May 2001, Seagate Technology Int’l had committed a major year-long sponsorship programme to ODT, which involved commissioning a presentation of Dr. Danny Tan’s full-length repertoire – ‘The White Sensation’at Victoria Theatre whilst reinforcing the shared principles between Seagate & ODT – Innovation, Creativity & Precision. ‘The White Sensation’ was also re-staged for the Esplanade Trial & Orientation in July 2002.

Shell came on board to support ODT Dance in its community and outreach initiatives between 2003-2005. It had also supported the growth of ODT Young Dance Company.

From 2004 - 2006, under the patronage of Ms Lee Xiang Yin (Regional CEO for Asia, Bel’Air), ODT received annual sponsorship from SHIANG SERIES for support towards the company’s local programmes, and commissioning of new dance works by Artistic Director Dr. Danny Tan.

Energizer came on board as our main sponsor from 2006, having supported our key programmes including Summer DanceFit 2006, DanzINC 2006, the international touring of Providence (World Premiere) and Arts4yoUths and Young Artists Project Performers (2007 - 2008).

Starlite (Far East) Pte Ltd and Iceworks Communications had supported ODT Dance between 2010-2012 while Melissa has been a staunch supported of ODT Dance since 2016.

We are very grateful to our long term supporters such as The National Arts Council (Singapore), Lee Foundation and OCBC Bank since day one.
